Festivals and village fÍtes
Here is a selection of events that in our opinion are well worth visiting, along with those that you we suggest your
“don't miss".
Here are some holiday farms we know and recommend visiting if you wish to purchase typical, local produce such as olive oil, wine, cheese, cold cuts and honey, or simply to try them - you don’t have to buy.
- “Fattoria del Piccione” Farm
Via Roma - MONTECOLOMBO - tel. +39 0541/985664
The farm produces excellent wine as well as some oil. The wine cellars, grottoes and small arts and crafts museum are well worth visiting. [visit the website] - “Podere Vecciano” Farm
Via Vecciano, 23/X - CORIANO - tel. 0541/656011
This is about a kilometre from our country estate and is where our grapes were also pressed. As well as wine, which accounts for most of its production, the farm produces oil and grappa. Don’t miss the chance to visit the wine cellar. - Frontali Gualtiero Farm
Via Delle Fonti, 5 - RIMINI - tel. 0541/727077
The farm is in the hills behind Rimini, close to the Galvanina spring so you can’t miss it. It is the largest oil producer in the Province of Rimini and also makes honey. In our opinion, Davide, the farmer, is the one of the best oil producers in the area. Visitors can also purchase some of the region’s best wines here. Cheese lovers should include a visit here on their list of things to do. - Cantina del Monsignore
Via Patarino 154 San Giovanni in Marignano - tel. 0541955128 The farm produces an excellent and unusual Sangiovese (red wine) called “La Levata”, an honest and full-bodied wine. It is close to San Giovanni in Marignano. After the town, head towards Tavullia then after a few km turn right…you can’t miss it, it’s well signposted. - Buon Pastore Farm
Via Ca’santino, 28 – Montefiore – tel. 0541/985874.
The farm produces excellent cheese and is the place we recommend for this particular product. Once in Montefiore, head towards Tavoleto and after a few kilometres you’ll find signs for the farm on the right.
Good food
If, like us, you love good food and wish to discover the delights of our traditional cuisine in characteristic surroundings, we suggest you visit some of the inns and trattorias we have chosen for you after having visited them ourselves. However, we didn’t do all this hard work just for you, it’s one of our great passions too!
Finally, why not make the most of the guided coach services called “Collinea” organised in collaboration with the Province of Rimini. Check out the Province of Rimini website for all necessary information.
